EMINEM WINS OVER 60K LOLLAPALOOZA FANS WITH MEDLEY OF HITS

Lollapalooza was the place to be last weekend, as the festival unfolded in Chicago. Eminem headlined the second night of the festival on Saturday, August 6 and it was indeed Marshall Mathers’ moment. The festival reportedly attracted 90,000 music fans, with MTV estimating that around 60,000 of those attendees were crammed into the South Field trying to watch Em as he made his Lollapalooza debut.

Em rewarded the fans, who packed themselves in despite the stifling heat and humidity, for their loyalty and curiosity with a 90-minute, hit parade of a set that spanned his entire career. He got by with a little help from his friends, such as Skylar Grey, with whom he sang Dr. Dre‘s ‘I Need a Doctor,’ as well as his Bad Meets Evil bro Royce Da 5’9″ for ‘Lighters,’ which featured a guest spot from Bruno Mars. It was electrifying, especially with the Chicago skyline looming in the background. If there is one thing fans can take away from Lollapalooza 2011, it’s the fact that Eminem knows how to please a crowd, and how to absorb its energy and recycle it into his performance.

Em was reportedly feeding of the crowd’s boundless energy and could not be stopped, bouncing around like a little kid that downed a can of Red Bull. It’s like he never took a break from music. We hope he never stops performing.
